July 9-21, 2008 Trip to see Gram and Gramps and Aunt Brandie

Mommy and I flew down to Arizona on the airplane. She got me really excited about this plane ride but I slept on the plane so it didn't seem that fun. Gram and Gramps and Aunt Brandie sure were glad to see me. I got used to being at their house pretty quickly. We went swimming every day. I got so much attention. I got to play with new toys and their vaccuum...I had a great time. I talked to Daddy on the computer screen a couple of times. I tried to get him to hold me but it didn't work out. But after a week he was in Arizona with us. We threw a pool party at the house and Aunt Brandie's friends came to visit. All in all, it was an excellent vacation. I was very sad to go, so were they.

4th of July Weekend

Wow, this was a busy weekend. We had all kinds of plans. Friday we walked to see Uncle Rick and Aunt Amy at Grandpa's house who were in from Kansas City. My cousins Rachel, Abby and Luke were all there too. We headed out for a snack and met up with Aunt Joan in from D.C. After that we all headed to Castaldo Park in Woodridge for $.50 hot dogs. I took a little nap on the way since mommy was pushing me in the stroller. We got to see some friends and a fire truck, an ambulance and motorcycles. I love that stuff! Then we headed home for nap time. Later on Grandma, Joan, Aunt Amy and Aunt Patty who were also in from out of town came over and we went to the Lisle Eyes to the Skies festival to see the fireworks. Cherrie with her brother and sister-in-law and 3 nephews met us there. We set up our blankets on the hill and had a very nice view. I held out until about 30 minutes before they went off but woke up for the finale. I really didn't know what was going on. Better luck next year! Saturday was off to Grandma's for her annual BBQ. Daddy brought his fishing pole so we all got to see and touch lots of fish. I was afraid to touch them at first but I found the courage. Sunday we went to a birthday party for Jack. Action packed. Next week, too. Mommy tells me we are going to Arizona to see Gram and Gramps. I thought they lived on the computer screen on our desk?!
